International Program
Meet Dong Min ('Nick') Kim from South KoreaNew England ranks as one of the top regions in the United States for excellent secondary and post-secondary educational institutions. Students from every region of the world attend private boarding and day schools in New England. Laconia Christian School, in the heart of New England, offers placement in our academic program and assistance in locating a host family to qualified international students. Our small class sizes, academic rigor, availability of ELL classes and success in placing graduates in four-year colleges make LCS the right choice for many international students.
- Each student has a faculty advisor and student mentor to help him or her adjust to LCS, and American culture.
- The LCS administration in conjunction with the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Fund assists all students in finding the college or university best suited for them. Over the course of each school year numerous college representatives meet on campus with interested students.
- LCS does not offer on campus boarding options for international students. LCS will assist applicants and their families in securing a financially stable host family drawn from within the school community.
- Tuition for international students in the 2008-09 academic year is $16,500 plus fees.
- Standard ESL/ELL courses are included in the curriculum for international students. Students requiring additional language acquisition assistance may be required to attend specialized tutoring sessions at an additional expense and at the discretion of the English department faculty.
