Shoot Out--October 22, 2011

Hello again, Trap Shooters, Donors, and LCS Fundraisers,

It’s time to prepare for the Eighth Annual LCS Shoot-Out! And we need your help! The continued uncertainty in the US economy has resulted in an unprecedented demand for tuition grants—we awarded grants to forty-five students from twenty-nine families this year, amounting to over $105,000 in grants. These students are able to experience all that LCS has to offer and enhance an already thriving school community due to your generous participation in events like this, the proceeds of which go directly to our tuition grant fund. 

The Shoot-Out is a great event for both beginner and experienced shooters; a day of family fun, prizes, food (check-out the details of our 1st Chili Cook-Off), and competition. As in past years, we will offer a single ladies division and two men’s divisions—one for those 16 and older and one for those under 16.

Plan to join us on Saturday, October 22nd, beginning promptly at 8:00AM.  The event is co-sponsored by the Pemigewassett Valley Fish and Game Club and takes place at their trap range (www.pemi.org).   

Whether you are a seasoned shooter, new to trap shooting, or just want to be part of the fun, we have a place for you.  You can participate in as a…

• Fundraising Competitor by asking friends and family to sponsor you for the Shoot-Out.  (Registration fee is only $45 if you raise over $100)
• Competitor only by simply joining us for a day at the trap range.  (Registration fee is only $75)
• Donor to the Tuition Grant Fund, even if you’re unable to join us.  (Response card enclosed)
• Sponsor by helping a participating fundraiser reach his or her goal.
• Volunteer by promoting the event or helping with registration and refreshments on the day of the Shoot-Out. 

The competition will begin promptly at 8:00AM.

Auction and Banquet--Friday, March 30, 2012

As our largest fundraiser, the auction/banquet has enjoyed wonderful community participation.  We encourage local businesses, the school community, and area churches to donate items which can be bid on online and at the event.   Historically, we have over 150 items donated each year, including Boston Red Sox and Patriots tickets, antique furniture, and numerous gift certificates from local businesses. Proceeds from the auction and banquet typically provide over $35,000 toward our tuition grant fund.
